THE ACADEMY of ST OLAVE’S – Forthcoming Orchestra Concerts in York

Our next orchestra concert is on 27 June at 8pm in St Olave’s Church York. We shall be playing a glorious programme of music by Beethoven, Mozart and Richard Strauss, so do come!

  • BEETHOVEN: Overture Coriolan 
  • IVES: The Unanswered Question
  • R. STRAUSS: Oboe Concerto soloist Alexandra Nightingale
  • MOZART: Symphony No. 39 in E flat

The concert will be in aid of Musical Connections, a York charity which runs community choirs and weekly music groups in a range of care and community settings.

  • BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 1 in C
  • SCHUBERT: Symphony No. 9 in C ‘Great’

The concert will be supporting  Jessie’s Fund in its 25th year, helping children with additional and complex needs or serious illness to communicate by using music.

Access by ramps, slopes and/or manual doorsSt Olave’s Church can be accessed with a wheelchair. There is a sloping path which avoids the main steps up from Marygate and a wheelchair accessible toilet at the back of the church.
